Bottle of Red, Bottle of White—Attempted Burglary Involves Dr. Pepper, Wine

An opened 12 pack of Dr. Pepper and an opened bottle of wine are pieces of evidence in this case attempted burglar at Knollwood Circle.

Here's one you don't see every day in the police blotter.

To be honest, it's a bit hard to unravel, especially the "why."

Attempted Burglary—Someone attempted to take a 12-pack of Dr. Pepper and a bottle of wine from a residence in the 3200 block of Knollwood Circle sometime around 8:20 p.m. April 13, reports said.

Police responded to a report of an attempted burglary on Knollwood Circle. Upon police arrival, one of the residents was inside the house with a friend, and at this time, the garage door open.

The two heard a noise in the garage, and the friend saw two subjects in the driveway. The friend yelled at the subjects, and they ran away from the residence, heading southwest.

He (the friend) then saw a white vehicle heading south on Knollwood Circle.

An officer saw an opened 12 pack of Dr. Pepper and an opened bottle of wine in the front yard.

The owner said nothing was missing from the refrigerator.
