Bicyclist Gets Warning Notice After Collision With Vehicle
The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
It isn't quite in the category of "man bites dog," but it is a bit unusual to see a bicycle accident with injuries in which the bicyclist gets the ticket.
According to Geneva police reports, a Trek Mountain Bike ridden by Kyle Baker, 29, of Batavia collided with the front of a Buick Lucerne driven by Elizabeth Wendel, 32, of North Aurora around 5:25 p.m. May 29 at the intersection of South Randall Road and Christina Lane.
Geneva Medic 251 arrived at the scene and the report did indicate there were injuries, but all parties refused treatment.

A witness told police Baker's bicycle came from the northwest corner of the intersection and traveled south in front of the Lucerne, which was turning right with the green turn arrow.
Baker was issued a warning notice for disobeying a traffic control device.
