Bicycle Hits Car—And Car Gets the Worst of It

Geneva police reports: The bicyclist suffers some minor scrapes but is OK.

A bicycle whizzes through a side-street intersection just as the driver of a full-size car makes a legal turn and POW! Bicycle hits car. Who gets the worst of it?

Well, in this case, the car. At least, that's what it says in the Geneva police report.

A bicycle ridden by Nicholas Limonez. 23, of Geneva collided with a Toyota Avalon driven by Kelly White, 45, of St. Charles around 6:05 p.m. Nov. 2 at the intersection of North Sixth Street and Peyton Street.

According to reports, Limonez was pedaling south on Sixth Street when his bicycle hit the Avalon as it was turning west onto Peyton Street. Damage to the Avalon was estimated at more than $1,500.

Limonez suffered minor scrapes to his hand and leg but told police he did not think any damage had been done to the bicycle.
