Bicycle Collides with Car at Kaneville and James in Geneva
Police reports: This is an unusual one, but there were witnesses to confirm that the bike hit the car and not the other way around.
This story from the Geneva police blotter comes close to falling into the category of "Man Bites Dog." This time, it's "Bike Hits Car."
A bicycle ridden by Catherine Graeser of Geneva collided with a Ford Explorer driven by Susan Arnold of Wayne around 2:52 p.m. April 4 at the intersection of Kaneville Road and James Street, reports said.
That’s right: The bicycle hit the car.

Witnesses told police Graeser was on a Diamondback Approach bicycle riding north on James Street "approaching" (pun intended?) Kaneville Road. The bicycle “entered the intersection without stopping and struck the driver’s side” of the Ford Explorer, reports said. Three witnesses were all from Geneva.
Geneva police reports don't say how much damage was done to each vehicle, but they do say that more than $1,500 damage was done to "any one person’s vehicle." The police report indicates that no one was taken to the hospital following the collision.
