Before the Storm, Mailboxes Damaged on North Cambridge

A lot of mailboxes might have been plowed over in the snow storm, but before that police report three on North Cambridge.

Someone damaged a three mailboxes on North Cambridge Drive in the morning hours of Monday, Jan. 24, Geneva police reports said.

One was a metal mailbox and wooden post valued at $200 at a residence in the 500 block of North Cambridge Drive, which was reported around 8 a.m. Jan. 24.

The others reportedly happened around 4:30 a.m., one valued at $500 in the 500 block and the other valued at $200 in the 300 block of North Cambridge Drive.

Police said the incidents appear to be related “due to the proximity of the incidents and their seemingly calculated nature.”

Police observed tire tracks in the fresh snow that “led up to the damaged mailbox and mailbox post.”
