Batavia Teen Charged for Hosting Drinking Party — 20 Others Cited

The following information was supplied by the Batavia Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Batavia police arrested Austin Shanahan, 18, of Batavia on charges the he hosted an underage drinking party, according to a report filed at 12:13 a.m. Aug. 7. The charge is “unlawful residential gathering,” according to reports. He has a court date of Sept. 17.

Also cited under local ordinance for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor were:

  • Trevor Hollis, 18, of Batavia
  • Brian Vetsch, 18, of Batavia
  • Benjamin Link, 18, of Batavia
  • Brittney Reaber, 18 of Bensenville
  • Anna Zeyen, 18, of Batavia
  • Rachael Miller, 18, of Batavia
  • Peter Rudd, 18, of Batavia
  • Andria Miller, 18, of Batavia
  • Celine Harmon, 18, of Batavia
  • Jake Monty, 18, of Batavia
  • Katheryn Nielsen, 18, of Aurora
  • Sierra Delatorre, 18, of Aurora
  • Emily Daly, 18, of Winfield
  • Nathan Tague, 18, of Batavia

Five juveniles also were issued citations.
