Batavia Police Arrest Genevan on Aggravated DUI Charges Following 2nd Arrest

The following information was supplied by Tri-Cities police departments. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Aggravated driving-under-the influence charges are among the roundup of DUI arrests gathered from Tri-Cities police reports.

BATAVIA ARRESTS

 

Aggravated DUI Charges Follow 2nd Offense

Batavia police arrested Richard Sampson, 22, of Geneva on charges of aggravated driving under the influence due to license suspended or revoked, driving while license suspended or revoked for DUI second offense, disobeying a stop sign, driving under the influence, failure to signal when required, three citations of illegal lane usage, operating an uninsured vehicle and driving while license suspended according to a report filed at 2:11 a.m. Sept. 6 in th 700 block of North Batavia Avenue. Sampson was transported to Kane County Jail.

GENEVA ARRESTS

Nashville Man Charged


Geneva police arrested Justin King, 37, of Nashville, IN, on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without lights when required and improper lane usage around 9:40 p.m. Sept. 2 at the intersection of Seventh Street and James Street in Geneva, reports said. He has a court date of Oct. 2.

Batavian Charged With Driving Without Lights

Geneva police arrested Mark Dowdell, 45, of Batavia on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without lights when required at 12:23 a.m. Sept. 2 after a traffic stop in the 600 block of East State Street, reports said. The incident occurred in the 100 block of West State Street. Dowdell has a court date of Oct. 9.

 

Sycamore Man Charged

Geneva police arrested Philip Heffley, 33, of Sycamore on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol  at 11:16 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 0-99 block of South Second Street, reports said. Heffley has a court date of Oct. 2 at the Kane County Judicial Center, 37W777 Route 38, St. Charles.

Speeding on West State Street 

Geneva police arrested Cyrstal Hoffrage, 32, of St. Charles on charges of DUI alcohol and speeding around 2:16 a.m. Sept. 1 in the 300 block of West State Street, reports said. She has a court date of Oct. 2 at the Kane County Judicial Center, 37W777 Route 38, St. Charles.


ST. CHARLES ARRESTS

Improper Lane Usage


Nathan J. Scherer, 23, of the 11N700 block of Orchard Lane, Elgin, was charged at 12:38 a.m. Sept. 7 at North 3rd and Cedar streets with DUI, and improper lane use. He was issued a notice of summary suspension and was released pending an Oct. 16, 2013 court appearance.


DUI With BAC Over .08


Douglas G. Longmuir, 58, of the 1600 block of Pamela Drive, Elgin, was charged Sept. 6 at 1:24 a.m. at North 4th and West Main streets DUI, DUI with a blood-alcohol concentration greater than .08, no driver’s license, improper lane use and disobeying a traffic control device. Police said his blood-alcohol concentration registered .094. Bond details were not immediately available.  


Improper Lane Use


John S. Flanagan, 28, of the 900 block of Lewis Road, Geneva, was charged Aug. 9 at 1:37 a.m. at 300 S. Randall Road, with DUI and improper lane use, according to an arrest report released this week.
