Batavia Man Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison for Drug-Induced Homicide

A 22-year-old Batavia man accused of supplying the heroin that killed Abby L. Nordmeyer, 24, of South Elgin, last April has been sentenced to eight years in prison after he entered a guilty plea Friday to drug-induced homicide, according to the Daily Herald.

Allen, of the 300 block of North River Street, will have to serve at least 75 percent of his sentence and faced up to 30 years in prison on the drug-induced homicide charge, according to the Daily Herald.

A co-defendent in the case, Andrea Nielsen, is accused of contacting Allen to get the heroin and then using the heroin with Allen and Nordmeyer at Nordmeyer's home on April 5, according to the article.
