Batavia, Geneva Youths Arrested for Illegal Consumption by a Minor

Police Reports: Two incidents of liquor act violations are reported in the blotter. One involves retail theft as well.

Two liquor act violations reported in Geneva involve a Batavia youth also cited for retail theft and a Geneva youth caught drinking on Randall Road, according to reports.

Retail Theft, Illegal Consumption—Geneva police arrested Andrew Swidenbank, 18, of Batavia on charges of retail theft and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor around 9:06 p.m. July 19 at Dominick’s, 2000 South Randall Road, Geneva, reports said.

Police say Swidenbank took two 750 milliliter bottles of Captain Morgan spiced rum. He has a court date of Aug. 7 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

Liquor Act Violation—Geneva police cited Ryan Barnard, 19, of Geneva for consumption of alcohol by a minor around 2 p.m. July 6 in the 1800 block of South Randall Road, Geneva police reports said. The fine is $250 if paid by its due date.
