Batavia Blotter: Theft Arrests, Spare Tire Stolen, Criminal Defacement of Property

2 Juveniles Reported for Kohl's Theft


Two juveniles were reported for retail theft at Kohl’s around 4:26 p.m. Jan. 19. Two juveniles were reported for a retail theft at Target at 5:49 p.m. Jan. 19. Kohl’s is located at 251 N. Randall Road, Target at 115 N. Randall Road. No further information is available.


Woman Charged With Wal-Mart Theft


Batavia police arrested Erica Thomas, 33, of Aurora on charges of theft under $500 at Wal-Mart, 801 N. Randall Road, according to a report at 2:48 p.m. Jan. 14. According to the report, $240 in cash was taken. Thomas was transported to the Kane County Jail.


Spare Tire Stolen

Someone took a spare tire and rim from a vehicle in the 600 block of Carriage Drive, according to a report at 1:07 p.m. Jan. 13. The estimated value of the stolen items was $300.


Criminal Defacement of Property


Someone spray painted graffiti on a concrete block at the end of the sidewalk at the intersection of Hart and Fox Trail. A Damage to City Property report was completed. The report was filed at 2:24 p.m. Jan. 17. There were no estimates as to the cost to repair the damage.

Juvenile Reported Missing 


A juvenile reported missing was located in the 500 block of South Batavia Avenue, according to a report at 8:35 a.m. Jan. 15.
