Another Bike-Car Collision Among Geneva Accident Reports

A bicycle and a car collide on East Side Drive, and other accidents are part of the Geneva police reports collected this week.

In addition to "death" and "taxes" on the list of life's inevitables, we probably could add traffic accidents. Here are a few from Geneva police reports.

Bicycle and Car Collide on East Side Drive and Geneva Drive—The front of a Chrysler Town & Country driven by Justin Eadler, 46, of Huntley collided with a Schwinn 10-speed bicycle ridden by Lucas McGregory, 23, of Geneva around 8:45 p.m. June 29 at the intersection of East Side Drive and Geneva Drive, reports said. No one was taken to a hospital, according to reports, and damage to either vehicle was estimated at less than $500.

Accident on Williamsburg Avenue—The rear of an Acura 3.2TL driven by Joseph Schofield, 49, of Geneva collided with the front of a Volkswagen Golf driven by Jacqueline Spenader, 61, of Geneva around 2:35 p.m. June 28 in the 400 block of Williamsburg Avenue about 100 feet south of West State Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to  any one vehicle.

Accident on 300 block of Crescent Place—The front of a Chrysler Sebring driven by Alex Daly, 29, of Geneva collided with the rear of an Acura TL driven by Garth Garlock, 56, of Geneva around 2 p.m. June 30 on private property in the 300 block of Crescent Place around 200 fee from South Third Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on 300 block of Crescent Place—The front of a Nissan Maxima driven by Clare Jongebloed, 20, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Hyundai Elantra driven by Annelore Sturtevant of St. Charles around 7:30 p.m. June 29 on private property in the 300 block of Crescent Place near South Third Street, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on Campbell Steet—The rear of a Dodge Caravan driven by Kelly Cullen-Lochbaum, 45, collided with the driver’s side of a Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Jeffrey Woods, 53, of Batavia around 12:45 p.m. June 25, in the 200 block of Campbell Street about 35 feet east of South Third Street, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on South Randall Road—The front of a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Robert DeCorte, 68, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Honda Odyssey driven by James Kunkle, 57, of Geneva around 1:50 p.m. June 27 in the 1100 block of South Randall Road about 10 feet north of Fargo Boulevard. DaCorte was issued a citation for driving at a speed that is greater than reasonable in regard to traffic conditions. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.
