An 18-Year-Old From Geneva, a 19-Year-Old from DeKalb Among Alcohol-Related Police Reports

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Two unrelated acts of underage alcohol possession or consumption were in the police reports this week. One involves showing someone else's driver's license in order to be served, another appears to be discovered in the course of a traffic accident.

Liquor Act Violation, Possession by a Minor—Police arrested Brian Landrum, 18, of Geneva on charges of illegal possession by a minor and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident at around 10:13 p.m. June 17 at the intersection of Lake View Drive at Fisher Drive. Landrum has a court date of 9 a.m. Aug. 16, at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road.

Liquor Act Violation, Consumption by a Minor—Police arrested Brittany Hughes, 19, of DeKalb on charges of illegal consumption under 21 years old and displaying the driver’s license of another person in the 1500 block of Eagle Brook Drive around 1:28 a.m. June 17, reports said. Kyle Davis, 22, of DeKalb was issued a complaint and notice to appear for disorderly conduct and Sarah Vasilopulos, 20, of DeKalb was issued a complaint and notice to appear for consumption of alcohol by a minor. Davis faces a $50 fine and Vasilopulos a $100 fine.
