All Kinds of Vehicles Collide in Geneva Traffic Reports

Police blotter: Here's a roundup of accidents in Geneva, collected this week from reports.

Dokatas and Matrix and Sables and Pilots and Focuses (Focusi?)—all makes and models in the spectrum get into accidents from time to time, and some of those fine brand names are represented in this batch from the Geneva police reports.

Accident on South Randall Road—The rear of a Dodge Dakota driven by John Cronsell, 62, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Nissan Maxima driven by James Radecki, 53, of Geneva around 10:25 a.m. May 12,  on private property at Randall Road (County Highway 34) near Fargo Boulevard.

More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on Cambridge Drive—The front of a Mercury Sable driven by Vicki Shaffer, 68, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Honda Accord driven by Amy Gerandy, 36, of Geneva around 4:30 p.m. May 12 in the 200 block of North Cambridge Drive at the intersection of Williamsburg Avenue, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Shaffer was issued a warning ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Accident of Route 25—The front of a Ford Focus driven by Denise Putzler, 62, of Sugar Grove collided with the rear of a Toyota Matrix driven by Douglas Offutt, 45, of Batavia around 6:12 p.m. May 12 on state Route 25 (the 1800 block of Crissey Avenue) near East Fabyan Parkway, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Putzler was issued a warning ticket for driving too closely.

Hit and Run—An unknown vehicle struck the passenger side of a Honda Pilot in the 600 block of West State Street near Sixth Street, reports said, causing more than $1,500 damage.
