Accused Batavia Stabber Released Over Weekend

Cyrenthia Williams of Chicago is out on $1,000 bond. The next court date for her case is Aug. 17.

The 18-year-old Chicago woman who is was released from custody over the weekend, according to jail records.

Cyrenthia D. Williams posted $1,000 bond, or 10 percent of a $10,000 bail, in addition to a $46 processing fee to leave the Kane County Jail Saturday afternoon. She had been there since early Friday morning.

Williams faces two aggravated battery charges in connection to the stabbing, which took place on Thursday at , according to police.

arrived to the apartment complex and found a 26-year-old Aurora woman who had been stabbed. Williams and the woman got into an argument that turned physical inside one of the apartments, and Williams stabbed the woman, police said.

A status hearing for this case is scheduled for Aug. 17, according to court records.
