Accidents at Some of Geneva's Most Dangerous Intersections—And All Over Town

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Here's our weekly roundup of accident reports in Geneva.

Accident with Injuries on East Fabyan Parkway—The front of a Mitzubishi Galant driven by Pauline Chidester, 49, of Elburn collided with the rear of a Volkswagen Jetta driven by Vanessa Perez-Weaver, 27, of Geneva around 6:45 a.m. Jan. 6 in the 1200 block of East Fabyan Parkway about 500 feet west of Kirk Road, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle, and Perez-Weaver was taken to Delnor Hospital after the crash. Chidester said she was distracted by the ringing of her telephone and did not recognize the eastbound traffic coming to a stop in front of her. She was issued a warning ticket for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Accident in the Geneva Commons Parking Lot—The rear of a Ford Escape driven by Sarah Kiel, 26, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Malibu driven by Michael Stone, 31, of Geneva around 2:30 p.m. Jan. 8,  in the Geneva Commons parking area about 300 feet from 300 North Randall Road, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident in Randall Road Private Property—The front of a Volkswagen Jetta driven by Hope Stimac, 21, of Geneva collided with the front of a Jaguar XK8 around 12:28 p.m. Jan. 10 on private property in the 200 block of South Randall Road about 500 feet south of Williamsburg Avenue, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Stimac was driving south on Delnor Drive preparing to turn left into the entrance of a business at 296 S. Randall Road the front of the Jetta struck the front of the Jaguar as the Jaguar was exiting. Both drivers declined ambulance service.

Accident on North Randall Road—The front of a Toyota Sienna driven by Shannon Hermann, 38, of Batavia collided with the rear of a Honda Accord driven by Steven Price, 46, of Geneva around 5:15 a.m. Dec. 13 in the 900 block of Britta Lane about 200 feet east of Manchester Course, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on Peyton Street—The front of an Acura MDX driven by Christopher Jarot, 37,of Geneva collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Impala driven by Fred Findeisen, 75, of Niles around 1::40 p.m. Jan 12 in the 400 block of Peyton Street about 10 feet west of North Fourth Street, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Jarot was issued a warning notice for following too closely. 

Accident on North Randall Road—The front of a Toyota Sienna driven by Shannon Hermann, 38, of Batavia collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Traverse driven by Sandra Wold, 40, of Geneva around 10:23 a.m. Jan. 12 in the 500 block of North Randall Road about 50 feet south of Bricher Road, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.
