Accident with Injuries, Hit and Run Among Usual Slew of Geneva Traffic Reports

Here's a roundup of traffic reports collected last week from the Geneva Police Department.

Accident on Nelson Drive—The rear of a Honda CRV driven by Ellen Wright, 82, of Geneva collided with the driver’s side of a Chevrolet Corvette driven by Arthur Rubel, 58, of Berkeley around 12:45 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 300 block of Nelson Drive near Fisher Drive, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Collision on Private Property on South Third Street—A Ford Explorer 200 collided with an unknown vehicle in a parking lot in the 500 block of South Third Street around 7:15 p.m. Aug. 8, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to the vehicle. No other information is available.

Accident at Williamsburg Avenue and Delnor Drive—The front of a GMC Suburban driven by Nicholas Faught, 19, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Juliette Kein, 19, of Sycamore around 1:35 p.m. Aug. 9 at the intersection of Williamsburg Avenue and Delnor Drive, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Hit and Run—An unknown vehicle struck a Ford Explorer between 1 and 5 p.m. Aug. 9 while it was parked in a lot at 211 James St., reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to the vehicle.

Accident with Injuries—The front of a Scion XB driven by Jackson Biller, 24, of Highland Park collided with the rear of a Ford F-150 driven by Karl Albers, 23, of Batavia around 1 p.m. Aug. 11 on Commons Drive around 50 feet west of Randall Road, reports said. The F-150 was eastbound in the exit lane of Commons Drive attempting to turn south, and the Scion was traveling east directly behind it. Reports said Alders slowed for a vehicle in front of him while Biller believed the F-150 was going to proceed with the turn, reports said. The report indicates that there were "injuries or tow," but no other information was available. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Car Hits Dog on South Street—A Chevrolet Colorado driven by David Carli, 40, of Geneva hit a German Shepherd owned by Samantha Salerno of Geneva around 2:12 p.m. Aug. 12 in the 1700 block of South Street about 25 feet east of Southampton Drive, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to the vehicle or property, according to police reports. No narrative was attached to the report.

Accident on Keslinger Road—The front of a  Chevrolet Express driven by Cesar Lazcano, 45, of Elburn collided with the rear of an Infinity M35 driven by Daniel Lotzpeich, 38, of Geneva around 6 p.m. June 30 at the intersection of Keslinger Road and Peck Road, reports said. Less than $500 damage was done to any one vehicle.
