Accident Reports: Injures on Fabyan Parkway, Randall Road

The following information was supplied by the Batavia and Geneva police departments. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Two accidents on Nov. 14 and 15 sent drivers to the hospital, according to Geneva and Batavia police department reports.


GENEVA

Cars Stop to Allow Turn, Crash Results

One person was hospitalized after a collision around 5:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in the 1400 block of East Fabyan Parkway, about 200 feet east of Kirk Road, Geneva police reports said.

The rear passenger side of a Chevrolet Spark driven by Jacqueline Shramovich, 24, of Batavia collided with the front of a Honda Fit driven by Paull Ulin, 55, of West Chicago, causing more than $1,500 damage to any one vehicle and sending Shramovich to Delnor Hospital by Batavia medics.

According to reports, Shramovich’s Spark was attempting a left from East Fabyan Parkway onto a private drive and the inside lane of traffic stopped to allow her to turn. Ulin’s Fit was traveling west in the inside lane when he noticed traffic ahead of him coming to a stop, so he switched to the outside lane, proceeded west and struck the Spark. No charges were filed.

3-Vehicle Accident on Randall

Two drivers were taken to Delnor Hospital with injuries after a  three-vehicle crash at 6:32 p.m. Nov. 15, on North Randall Road about 100 feet north of Main Street, Batavia police reports said. The front of a Murcury Milan driven by Joan Burke, 66, of Batavia collided with the rear of a Honda Civic driven by Delbert Smith, 61, of Carpentersville, which then collided with the rear of a Toyota Sequoia driven by Daniel Demetris, 36, of Chicago, reports said. Burke was charged with driving too fast for conditions and has a court date of Dec. 17.
