Accident Reports: East Side, West Side, All Around the Town

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Here's a roundup of Geneva traffic accidents collected during the past two weeks from the Geneva Police Department.

Accident on South Peck Road—The front of a BMW 328Xi driven by Jordan Matzen-Campise, 18, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Buick Lucerne driven by Jerome Jedynak, 59, of St. Charles around 4:15 p.m. May 31 in the 200 block of South Peck Road about 200 feet north of Keslinger Road, reports said. Both drivers refused medical treatment, but Matzen-Campise’s BMW required a tow. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Matzen-Campise was issued a warning notice for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Accident at East State Street and Kirk Road—The front of a Chevrolet Silverado driven by John Stachura, 32, of St. Charles collided with the rear of an Infinity 130 driven by Mary Stanley, 64, of Geneva around 6:20 p.m. May 27 in the 1500 block of East State Street about 10 feet east of Kirk Road, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Stachura was issued a warning notice for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident.

Accident at Batavia Avenue and Fargo Boulevard—The front of a Mercedes ML350 driven by Randy Lindenberg, 54, of Geneva collided with the front of a Buick LeSabre driven by Paul Cyko, 58, of Elburn around 9:52 a.m. May 28 at the intersection of Batavia Avenue (Route 31) and Fargo Boulevard, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Both units had to be towed from the scene and information about injuries was not available. Lindenberg was charged with failure to yield entering a stop or yield intersection. 

Accident on West State Street—The rear of a Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Anne Arroyo, 27, of St. Charles, collided with the rear of a Mitsubishi Outlander driven by Courtney Wilkison, 31, of Geneva aournd 6:32 p.m. May 24 in the 100 block of West State Street about 100 feet west of First Street (Route 31), reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Arroyo was issued a warning notice for improper backing.

Accident at Private Property on North First Street—The front of a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Stacey Garbarski, 19, of St. Charles collided with the passenger’s side of a parked Toyota Highlander around 6:35 p.m. May 24 on private property at Route 31 about 100 feet north of West State Street, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on South Randall Road—A Chevrolet driven by Christie Seidel, 28, of St. Charles collided with the rear of a Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Hannah Moore, 19, of Aurora around 9:07 p.m. May 21 on South Randall Road about 20 feet north of Fargo Boulevard, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on West State Street—The front of a Honda CR-V driven by Florence Burns, 18, of Geneva collided with the rear of a BMW 325I driven by Janet Wojcik, 53, of Geneva around 3:09 p.m. May 22 in the 1700 block of West State Street about 20 feet west of Willow Lane, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.
