Accident Around 2:15 PM Friday Temporarily Closes Lanes on State Street at Crissey in Geneva

Ambulance and fire truck at the scene of the afternoon collision.

A minivan and a sports utility vehicle collided on East State Street between Crissey Avenue and Garfield Street around 2:15 p.m. Friday afternoon.

An ambulance and Geneva Fire Department truck were at the scene, but it was not immediately evident if there were any injuries.

Both westbound lanes were blocked as of 2:25 p.m., and Geneva police officers were placing orange cones on the street and directing traffic around the accident.

Westbound traffic was backed up for several blocks.
