5 More 19-Year-Olds Cited for Underage Drinking in Geneva

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Geneva police reports indicate five 19-year-old were arrested for illegal consumption of alcohol in separate reports for incidents that took place on June 1, June 2 and June 4.

Two of the arrests were on charges filed in the 16th Circuit Court, the other three were citations under city ordinance that carry a $250 fine if paid by their due date.

The reports are in addition to the June 2 driving-under-the-influence arrest of Florence Burns, 19, of Geneva, the May 25 citations of 10 young people for underage drinking at a residencetwo underage drinking arrests that also involved speeding—one for travelling 74 mph in a 45 mph zone—and a Geneva 19-year-old charged with leaving the scene of an accident on May 27.

All the incidents have taken place since May 25.

The five arrests most recently added to the police blotter were part of three separate incident reports:

Liquor Act Violation—Geneva police arrested John Donnelly, 19, of Geneva and Andrew Carberry, 19, of Geneva on charges of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor after a traffic stop around 1:07 a.m. June 2 in a residential driveway in the 2200 block of Fargo Boulevard, Geneva police reports said. According to complaints in the 16th Circuit Court, both persons “knowingly consumed alcoholic liquor" and have court dates of July 16 at the Kane County Branch Court, 530 S. Randall Road, St. Charles.

Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor—Geneva police cited Brett Quillen, 19, of Geneva and Eric Mueller, 19, of Geneva for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor around 11:58 p.m. June 1 in the 1100 block of Randall Court, reports said. The citation carries a fine of $250 if paid on its due date.

Illegal Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor—Geneva police cited Zachary Cramer, 19, of St. Charles for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor around 6:41 a.m. June 4 in the 600 block of South Third Street, Geneva. The citation carries a fine of $250 if paid on its due date.
