Batavia theft reports for the week prior to Nov. 4 were fairly routine with the exception of one eyebrow-raising dollar figure. According to reports, someone took two stainless steel bottle molds valued at $360,000 from Amcor Storage Warehouse, 121 N. Raddant Road. The report was filed at 8:41 a.m. Nov. 4.
Batavia police Sgt. Shawn Mazza confirmed that $360,000 was reported as the total loss — two molds valued at $180,000 each. He could not say how big the molds are or why they're so valuable.
Police don't how these items were stolen or the time frame of the theft. Employees noticed the items were missing around Oct. 30, 2013, Mazza said.
