26-Year-Old Genevan Arrested for Marijuana, DUI

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Geneva man stopped while driving through downtown Geneva in the wee hours of Saturday morning now faces charges of marijuana possession and two counts of driving under the influence of alcohol.

Geneva police arrested Thomas Roake, 26, of Geneva on charges of possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence and DUI with a blood-alcohol level of more than .08 after a traffic stop around 2:10 a.m. June 23 in the 500 block of West State Street, reports said.

According to the complaint in the 16th Circuit Court, Roake "knowingly possessed a blue-colored glass smoking pipe" and had in his possession more than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams of marijuana.

Roake has a court date of July 11 at the Kane County Judicial Center, 37W777 Route 38, St. Charles.
