18-Year-Old Driver Charged With Leaving Scene of Accident at Kirk and Fabyan

The following information was supplied by the Geneva Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Sugar Grove 18-year-old faces charges of leaving the scene of an April 12 accident at South Kirk Road and East Fabyan Parkway in Geneva.

The rear of a Ford Ranger driven by Olivia Fleury, 18, of Sugar Grove collided with the front of a Jeep Liberty driven by Nicolle Razimoff, 18, of St. Charles around 4:45 p.m. April 12 at the intersection of South Kirk Road and East Fabyan Parkway, Geneva police reports said.

Fleury was cited for failure to yield turning left and leaving the scene of a property damage accident, reports said. She has a court date of May 1.

According to reports, no one was injured in the accident, but a tow was required.

Razimoff’s Jeep was southbound on South Kirk, and Fleury’s Ford was stopped at the intersection of South Kirk and East Fabyan facing north. Fleury turned left in front of Razimoff’s Jeep, and the vehicles collided.

Fleury then fled west on East Fabyan Parkway, and a witness followed her from the scene and was able to get the vehicle registration. Fleury’s Ford Ranger was located in the parking lot of Walgreens, 1918 West Fabyan Parkway.

The Ranger had a flat tire and was not drivable, reports said. Razimoff’s Jeep had to be towed from the scene. Damage to any one vehicle was estimated at more than $1,500.

Fleury told police she left the scene because she mistakenly believed the other vehicle had left the scene. Police reports said Fleury was calling her mother when they located her vehicle at the Walgreens.
