Readers' Choice: What's the Best Pet-Supply Store in the Tri-Cities?

Vote for your favorite pet-supply store in Batavia, St. Charles or Geneva for a chance to be named 2012 Patch Readers' Choice!

You can buy pet supplies all over the place these days, from the neighborhood convenience store to the high-traffic mega-store. The question here is: Which is the best in Geneva, St. Charles or Batavia?

We tend to think of pet ownership as inexpensive and low-maintenance. But pet owners know that all those little things add up—food, chew toys, treats, collars, leashes, cages, tanks, flea and tick pills, beds, bones, aquariums, exercise wheels, the list goes on and on.

So, where do you go for the best prices, service, knowledge and quality inventory? What's you favorite pet-supply place?

Nominations were accepted on Geneva, Batavia and St. Charles Patch through July 9.

Winners in all Readers' Choice categories will be announced on Aug. 24.

The poll will open to accept votes from registered Patch users starting on July 23 and close at 11:59 p.m. on Aug. 17.

Petco (next to Home Depot in Batavia). We have 3 dogs, 3 gerbils and fish. If you want expert advice regarding your pets (and I mean EXPERT), go there. The manager, Tony, is an absolute wealth of knowledge and he's ALWAYS willing to take the time to help you with any problem you may have. He is a true animal lover and comes from a family of animal lovers/breeders. His knowledge of just about any pet you could own is so vast that I won't go anywhere else. The store just was re-done and it looks great. His staff is extremely kind and helpful. This particular Petco has earned my business and I'd like to tell everyone about them so they too can benefit from their consistent incredible service.

Definately PetSmart in Geneva! They carry the largest variety at the best prices! I always feel like family there! There is ALWAYS an associate to help you find anything you need, or to answer your questions! They price match and take coupons too! Rescue friendly? You bet they are! They host adoption events for lots of rescues so people can adopt instead of "buying" which are usually promoting "Mill" animals :( My heart is at PetSmart!!!!!!!! Ruth Ann...Batavia
