Penrose Brewery P2 Craft Beer Debuts at Aurelio’s Geneva on Tap the Town Tour

It’s the locally brewed craft beer all of Geneva has been waiting for and as part of its debut during “Tap the Town” we’ve got it! Aurelio’s Geneva will be tapping the first keg of Penrose P2 Wednesday, March 19 starting at 5 pm – yes, we are the first stop on the Tap the Tour Founder’s Route. Join Aurelio’s for delicious pizza while you experience this inaugural keg from the brewery craft beer connoisseurs have been buzzing about for nearly a year.

What makes Penrose so special? Aside from the fact that the Penrose Brewery is about 3 blocks from us, it’s locally owned by our friends who are enthusiastic, passionate craft beer movement torchbearers obsessed with creating skillfully brewed beer. Co-founder and brewmaster Tom Korder brings a decade of beer innovation experience from Goose Island – one of the foremost leaders in the Craft Beer Movement. And, co-founder Eric Hobbs brings with him over 10 years of beer sales and marketing experience. And, if you know craft beer, you know that both impassioned brewery owners have already contributed a great deal to the Chicago Craft Beer community. And, when we tap our P2 keg the 19th, you might even meet them!

With Penrose you can expect Belgian inspired session ales, oak barrel-aging, and alternative fermentation. So, come to Aurelio’s Wednesday, March 19 to be one of the first to experience the Penrose P2 which will become one of our Aurelio's Geneva stock ales.
