Paula J. Dyman, age 90, of St.Charles, formerly long time resident of Geneva, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva. She was born April 20, 1923 in South River, New Jersey, the daughter of Stanley and Sophia (Koniecko) Pietruszka. Paula met and married Ted Dyman in May of 1945. Along with her husband, they owned and operated the Club Moderne in Geneva on Rt 38. She later worked as a waitress at the Venetian Cafe in Geneva and also as a Youth Supervisor for 20 years at the Geneva Girls Home. In her spare time, she loved feeding the birds, doing puzzles, gardening, walking, and was an avid reader.  Paula will be dearly missed.


Charlotte L. Cutuli, age 69 of Geneva passed away Tuesday December 24, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in St Charles. She was born December 5, 1944 in Wauseon, Ohio the daughter of John and Rosemary (Patterson) Lind. She is survived by her mother of Ohio and brother Kenneth (Janet) of Geneva. Services and interment will be held privately.


Frank Bambach, age 74, of St. Charles, formerly of Schaumburg and Wheeling, passed away Monday December 23, 2013 at Delnor Hospital in Geneva. He was born November 28, 1939 in Elek, Hungary, the son of Adam and Theresa (Mahler) Bambach. Frank immigrated to the U.S. in 1956 from Germany.  He worked for Rexnord Corporation in Wheeling for 45 years, as a foreman and retired in 2002. Frank was an honest and kind man who made friends easily and always saw the best in everyone he met.  In his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf, playing cards, shooting pool and watching old westerns.  His greatest enjoyment in life, however was spending time with his family.  He will be dearly missed by all he touched.

Frances Lorraine Hutter, age 93, of St. Charles, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 31, 2013 at her home. She was born December 29, 1920 in Ritzville, Washington. Frances was raised in Benge, Washington and graduated from Holy Name College in Spokane, Washington with a degree in Elementary Education in 1941. She began her teaching career in Moses Lake, Washington. where she met her future husband Air Force Captain Carl N. Hutter.


James Naughton: Visitation is Friday, January 3rd, 2014 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Yurs Funeral Home, Geneva. Service is Saturday, January 4th, 2014 at 11:00 AMat St. Patrick Church Downtown. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Edward [John] McArdle, 88, of St. Charles, Illinois, passed away on December 30, 2013 at his home. Edward was born November 5, 1925, to John and Margaret McArdle (Casey) in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II, and graduated from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. On July 4, 1953, he married Marian Baumer in Chicago. Edward was a successful real estate and hotel entrepreneur, with properties in Illinois, Florida, and the Virgin Islands.


Mildred M. Streit, age 94 of St. Charles, passed away December 28, 2013. She was born to Julius and Amanda Drachenberg in Chicago, IL. She was a home maker for many years raising her family in Chicago. She moved to the St. Charles area in 1980 and started to work for the Merra-Lee Shops in Geneva, where she worked for over twenty years before her retirement in 2001. She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church. She loved to sew, knit and crochet, and was the rock for the family.


Rita Ellis, age 80 of Batavia passed away December 26, 2013 at Delnor Hospital. She was born December 2, 1933 to Harry and Sylvia Morton in Peoria, IL. She grew up in the St. Charles and Geneva area. She met and married her husband Glen Ellis in St. Charles. She had a green thumb, and loved to tend her flowers in her flower garden. Rita also loved her two dogs, Baby and Corky. She is survived by her loving husband, daughter Deborah Ellis, sons Jerry Ellis, and Jim Ellis, and grandson Clint Homon, sister Delores Wyatt, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be Private.


John Rene Alaniz, 48, of Chicago. Born July 25th, 1965, departed December 21st, 2013. Survived by wife Denise, son John Christopher, mother Blanca, sisters Blanca and Audrey, brothers John F. and John E. Recent graduate of Indiana Univ. Employed by Noblesville School Corp. and Home Depot.

Maria Ann Cabel, 79, of Batavia passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva.  She was born November 13, 1934 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Peter and Lena (nee Tock) Anzalone.  She was united in marriage to Thomas E. Cabel, Jr. June 9, 1956 in Chicago, IL.


Carol Ann Yates passed away in the presence of family and special friends at her home in Geneva, Illinois on December 26, 2013. She was born December 22, 1964 in Worcester, England, the daughter of Fredrick and Beatrice Yates.  Her younger years were spent growing up in a loving family in the village of Middle Littleton, United Kingdom. Her passion was to be outdoors.  She spent much time walking in The Cotswolds, also cycling, running, and visiting properties of the National Trust with her parents.


Roberta Mary Chonko, age 75, formerly of Elgin, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Tower Hill Health Care Center in South Elgin.  She was born April 27, 1938 in Montreal, Canada, the daughter of William and Sara (nee Meiklejohn) Davidson. She is survived by her children, Bradley (Susan) Chonko of North Wales, PA, Darren John Chonko of Chicago, Warren (Kim) Chonko of Algonquin, IL, and Melanie (Sean) Telles of Purcellville, VA; her grandchildren, James, Lauren, Jake, Madison, Alyssa, Conner, Mason and Garrett; and her great-granddaughter, Arabella.


Christina Sophia Larson, 68, of Batavia passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at her home.  She was born June 30, 1945 in Chicago, IL the daughter of Edward and Julia (nee Mika) Kabot.  She was united in marriage to Dale Larson November 25, 2000 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Batavia.   She is survived by her husband Dale Larson, two sons Victor (Sue) Rezula of Glen Dale, AZ and Vincent Rezula of Austin, TX; a grandson Brandon Rezula; a sister Jackie (John) Krajewski of Wheeling, IL and her beloved dogs Iris and Jackie.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Moss Family Funeral Home 209 South Batavia Ave. Batavia, IL.  Visitation will be held from 8:30 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
