Family Fundraiser for Josie Nordman at Mill Creek Jan. 30

Fundraiser for Josie

Nineteen year old Josie Nordman is a sophomore Theater major at Northwestern this year, and an avid equestrienne. According to her mother, Josie is never the type of girl who sits around feeling sorry for herself, and always tries to live life to the fullest.

Josie was disgnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at the age of four months. CF is a progressive lung disease. At this point, Josie's lung function is down to 22%.  She is now on a transplant list, awaiting a lung transplant.

Family friend and Geneva resident Lisa Bova has put together a fundraiser to help defray the costs for Josie's transplant. The family's estimated contribution is approximately $50,000 to $75,000.

The fundraiser will be held on Wednesday, January 30th from 3 to 8pm at Mill Creek Golf Club, 39w250 Herrington Blvd, Geneva. There will be free makeovers from Jude Rollins of Votre Vu skincare (www.votrevu.com/juderollins). Proceeds from product sales will go to the Josie Nordman Fund. In addition, make and take necklaces and  handmade hairbands from local girls will be available. They will also attempt to build Mill Creek's largest toothpick and gumdrop sculpture!

Please come out to see the fun or just make a donation!
