Fabyan Elementary Celebrates Sports Day

Sports Day at Fabyan

With only 15 days left of school, Fabyan Elementary has been hosting many great end of year events, including Walk to School Wednesdays and Teacher Appreciation Week.  Today's weather was ideal for Fabyan Elementary students to celebrate Sports Day.  All the grades were able to move through lots of fun activities, like Tug of War, Hula Hoop Hut and Egg and Spoon.  Parent volunteers manned the games and water and Popsicle stations throughout the school grounds and inside the school. Principal Darcy Thompson made the rounds of all the games, cheering the kids on.  Kindergartener Matthew Abraham said he had a great time, adding, "Sports day is awesome!"  Third grader Delaney's favorite part was when a classmate's ball hit the school at the water ball station.  This is Fabyan's third annual Sports Day, and according to the students it gets better every year!  Fabyan Elementary opened in 2009 and enrolls just over 300 students.
