has made his mark on Geneva in many ways including P.A. announcer for GHS football and basketball games, a member of several non-profit boards including Geneva History and Geneva Rotary. In his “spare time” he is Director, Communications & Public Affairs for Moose International and a Geneva Patch columnist. Kurt will be joined at the table with Rick Nagel, editor of this fine online publication. However, it seems that the dish creation belongs to Kurt and Rick is the sous-chef on this team.

Honoring the memory of and Chuck’s dedication to community service is why Kurt decided to sign up for 60 Men this year. Chuck was the longtime city of Geneva Building Commissioner and passed away last July after a long battle with cancer.

“I owe any culinary skills I may have to my service as kitchen helper to my late friend Chuck Lencioni at various campouts,” replies Kurt.  Chuck and Kurt were both “Scout Dads” for seven years.  Under Chuck’s tutelage, Kurt can now produce a “passable” Thanksgiving turkey roasted on the grill.

Pulling from his time as a Scout Dad, cooking over the open campfire, Kurt was planning be prepare Boy Scout Campout Garbage Eggs.  I won’t give away all of Kurt’s secret ingredients, but I will tell you that the boys from camp were quoted as saying “Boy, these are pretty good eggs – although I guess I WAS really hungry.”

When asked why people should vote for him “sheer, unadulterated pity,” Kurt replied.
