In 2010, an estimated 22 Veterans died from suicide each day-a rate of one every 65 minutes-according to data from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Service-related stresses, the pressure of reintegration, and major depression can all contribute to a Veteran's decision to take his or her own life. 

Yet professional counselors can help individuals work through these issues with regular support. Suicide Prevention Services can help.

We just started a brand new Campaign: Counseling Veterans.

We've created a special campaign to help Veterans. All donations to this Grassroots campaign will be used by Suicide Prevention Services of America to counsel Veterans. 

The concept is simple. We are gathering donations. 100% of the donations go to SPS to help Veterans receive help.

For every $400 Grassroots raises, Suicide Prevention Services of America can provide two hours of services for 10 veterans. 

Professional counselors lead support sessions for local Veterans to help them deal with issues related to their military service, from post-traumatic stress disorder to reintegrating into society.
