Make a New Year’s Resolution that Sticks

Experts give advice on making and keeping resolutions for the New Year.

The most common New Year’s resolutions are lose weight, quite smoking, manage stress and drink less alcohol, according to USA.gov.

And on New Year’s Eve people usually do a lot of snacking, drink lots of alcohol, smoke and stress about how to keep those resolutions. 

Psychology professor Avidan Milevsky, a Huffington Post blogger, has five tips to help you keep the resolutions. The tips range from making a realistic goal to giving yourself rewards.

Another point of view to keep in mind comes from author Ray Williams who writes a blog, Wired for Success, on Psychology Today.com. Williams says you have to change your behavior in order to be successful and keep resolutions.
