Perlman Fine Jewelry to Move Into Erday Building at State and Third

Geneva's downtown gets another boost with the addition of a jewelry store.

Geneva's downtown continues to gain momentum with the announcement of a jewelry-store tenant for the high-profile corner of State Street and Third Street.

A sign of the times is visible in the storefront at the northwest corner of State and Third, announcing that Perlman Fine Jewelry will be the new tenant.

Bob Erday of Erday's Clothier confirmed Wednesday that the new tenant for that part of the Erday Building would be moving in after the first of the year. Perlman Fine Jewelry is presently located in the Geneva Commons, 1610 Commons Drive.

Erday said the move is a win-win-win.

"We're glad to have them as a tenant," he said. "It should be good for them, good for us and good for the downtown."

The space at the corner of State and Third was most recently the home of Kiss the Sky, which moved in June to a new location in Batavia.

Meanwhile, virtually next door, Tavolino Ristorante opened Sept. 17 at 305 W. State St. The restaurant serves authentic Italian cuisine and was pretty much booked solid Saturday. (Story coming Thursday on Geneva Patch.)

Other Geneva businesses are expanding into new space, including the All Chocolate Kitchen, The Mossy Twig and C'est la Vie by Sylvie.
