GHS Literary Magazine, Diver, Cross Country and Tennis Players Honored for Excellence
Did you know that Geneva High School has a state-ranked diver and one of the best literary magazines in the nation?
You might not know that Geneva High School has a diving contingent, or a literary magazine for that matter, but it does, and the students in those programs are making history.
State diving qualifier Natalie Williams, the editors of “The Skaldic” and Geneva's cross country and tennis state qualifiers were honored Monday night with the School District 304 Board of Education's "Tradition of Excellence" award.
Geneva's girls cross country team finished eighth in the state, the girls tennis team had four state qualifiers, Williams qualified for the state diving competition despite the fact that Geneva doesn't have a swimming pool and The Skaldic editors were recognized by The National Scholastic Press Association with its highest rating of All-American, with four Marks of Distinction.
