Kane County Forest Preserve Seeks Volunteers

Submitted by the Kane County Forest Preserve District 

Dedicate your time and talent to the Kane County Forest Preserve District through volunteering, helping to restore, protect and preserve the natural habitats in our area.

Volunteers are needed in the following areas: natural resources (including seed harvest volunteers, stewards, preserve monitors, adopt-a-trail participants, tree care volunteers, and horticulturist/garden volunteers); program/special events (including nature center hosts, nature program volunteers and special event volunteers); cultural preservation (including windmill docents and millers, Japanese garden volunteers, Fabyan Villa docents, Pioneer Sholes School volunteers, and Durant House Museum volunteers); and public safety (including campground hosts and mounted rangers).

Orientations are from 7-8 p.m., at Forest Preserve District headquarters, on the following dates:
