Join Geneva's Community-Wide Spring Clean-Up Day

The village is seeking volunteers for a litter collection campaign Saturday, May 10, from 9 a.m. to noon.

The following information was posted by the village of Geneva:

Geneva’s streets and neighborhoods will receive a spring cleaning as part of a community-wide litter collection campaign Saturday, May 10.

The clean-up effort will be held from 9 a.m. to noon and is a great opportunity for residents, Boy and Girl Scouts, church groups, and other volunteers to help spruce up the City. Geneva City Council members, who are organizing the event, will be distributing garbage bags and latex gloves from three community gathering points starting at 9 a.m.:

  • Fire Department Station No. 2, 2530 Fargo Blvd. – residents living west of Randall Road;
  • Public Works Department, 1800 South St. – residents living between Randall Road and the Fox River; and
  • Fire Department Headquarters Station No. 1, 200 East Side Drive – residents living east of the Fox River.

Residents can work on their own streets or areas needing attention in their own neighborhood. Collected litter can be returned prior to noon at one of the three gathering points.
