Scholarships Awarded from Community Foundation FRV

The Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley recently awarded 13 scholarships to Oswego residents for the 2012-2013 academic year. The potential value of these scholarships over the next four years is $42,000.


The purpose of the Community Foundation Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance to students who are academically qualified to pursue an advanced education in their chosen field of study. Scholarships are established within the Community Foundation by individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, civic clubs and through bequests.

Shirley M. Hurd Education Scholarship: Madeline Vogler

J. Paul & Wanda H. Kuhn Scholarship: Deanna Reichardt

Marguerite E. Miller Education Foundation Scholarship: Jacquelyn Grimm

Irene & Marie Oberweis Nursing Scholarship: Kelly Wixted

Robert G. Schweitzer Scholarship: Emily Ericson, Rachael Romano

Margaret Mercer Stewart Scholarship: Nancy Hilger

Carl E. Swanson & Clara M. Swanson & Family Scholarship: Rebecca Woelfel
