Bielefeldt and Lisa Dent, mother of his son, Liam have been connected with the foundation since its inception.

Len Bielefeldt, 49, is an accomplished artist who has been painting fulltime for the last 25 years. He began as a portrait painter so these breathtaking paintings of Santa are a natural fit for him. He painted the first Santa painting for Lisa to hang in her home last year. Len feels that it was part of their love story that she could display in her home. He often derives artful inspiration from his heart and it adds to the intrinsic beauty of his pieces.

This year, Bielefeldt is giving his gift of love and generosity to the Paul Ruby Foundation for Parkison's Research. The one-of-a-kind Santa portrait will be the first in a series to benefit the foundation. This gesture is reminiscent of Santa himself and is certain to help the foundation advance research efforts.

Bielefeldt has teamed up with Morrison Galleries in Geneva. The gallery is new to Geneva but has been one of the largest fine art galleries in Chicago for the last 10 years. When describing how he and Bielefeldt began to work tighter, Owner Val Grass describes it like this.

"We artists have a chip in us that enable to us to find each other and make it seem as if we have known each other forever," he said.

He and wife, Alicja, have found this in each other and now welcome Bielefeldt's work to the gallery. Morrison Galleries will display the Santa portrait beginning with the Christmas Walk until the end of the auction at 5 p.m. Dec. 17.
