GHS Photo Club Says, 'Hello, Geneva!'

Hello Geneva Patch! We are the Geneva High School Photo Club, and this is the beginning of our new and exciting blog. Biographies and more inside.

Hello, Geneva,

We are the Geneva High School Photography Club. This is our first blog post, and we'd like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves and our key members:

Haley McCleary- Haley is a senior at GHS, and is the president of the Photo Club. She is, surprisingly, much too modest to write a biography about herself. She is currently enrolled in Advanced Concepts in Photography, formerly known as Photography III.

Tom Feltenberger- Tom is a senior at GHS, and when he isn't taking pictures he can usually be found cuddling his guitar. He is also the Vice-President of the Photo Club. He enjoys being in Advanced Concepts in Photography, formerly known as Photo III.

Christine Soulier- Christine is a sophomore at GHS. She likes to make videos and hopes to one day sing in a nice tuxedo in New York. She's currently part of the Intro to Photography Class, previously known as Photo I.

Giovanna Lenski-  Giovanna is a junior at GHS. She likes art in all it's forms, especially Photography. This makes sense, as she's the Intro to Photography Class, also known as Photo I. She's had a succesful run at GHS and is currently in the Upstate Eight Art Competition.

Niamh Cottrell- Niamh is a junior at GHS. She has hobbies, such as photography and playing violin. She isn't in a photography class, but hopes to take one in the future.

Allessandra West- Allessandra is a freshman at GHS. She enjoys taking photographs of nature and animals. She also enjoys playing the violin and creating art. She is not in a photo class but hopes to take one soon.

Myranda Johnson- Myranda is a sophomore at Geneva. She likes to take photos, but when she isn't doing that she likes to watch Netflix.  She has few aspirations for her life, but does plan on moving to Minnesota. She is currently in Intro to Photography, formerly known as Photo I.

The Flagbearers (Alex Decker and Spencer Treece)- This legendary duo single-(double?) handedly saved the Photo Club's Homecoming Parade role. The two have a total of four photo club meetings under their belts, and when not taking photos enjoy impersonating equines.

Anthony Hasapis- Anthony doesn't go to GHS any more, but he makes a good mascot. He likes taking pictures and operates under the moniker Mr. Feeney. He attended Photo I-IV, as well as an Independant Study in Photography.

Brian Dahlberg- Brian is a Junior at GHS, and likes to take photos and write biographies. Sort of. When he isn't acting as the voice of The Club, he tends to do other things like snowboard, or play his ukulele. He is currently enrolled in Digital Photography (he prefers film over pixels), previously known as Photo II.

Danica (Antich) Fahmy- Danica is the sponsor of Photo Club, and is the school's only full-time photography teacher. She is an aspiring professional and the proud owner of a Pomeranian dog named Princess, who often stars in her photographs.

Keep an eye out for more Geneva! We'll be posting pics and tips each week.

"Take a picture; it'll last longer."
