Allison Boggs thriving as four-year VB starter at Trinity International

For Allison Boggs, setting a volleyball is as much a part of her daily routine as brushing her teeth and eating breakfast. The 2006 Faith Christian Academy graduate has been a starting setter for various school and club teams for the past 11 years, beginning in sixth grade at Faith Christian. Today she is starting at setter for the fourth straight season at Trinity International University in suburban Deerfield, leading the Trojans' women's volleyball team with 174 assists through eight matches.

A senior, Allison topped Trinity in assists as a junior and sophomore as well, recording 959 total assists last season. She also paced the Trojans in 2012 with a team-best .273 hitting percentage and a team-high 35 service aces, not to mention 1.91 digs and .22 blocks per set. Trinity sported a 1-7 season record and was 0-3 in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference's North Division as of September 21. More importantly, Allison is on pace to earn her bachelor's degree in health psychology at Trinity.

Allison started at setter for three years at Faith, helping the team to a then-school record 23-4 mark in 2005, before playing volleyball for four years at Wheaton Academy, where she was team captain and earned honorable mention all-area honors as a senior. Allison also played basketball, ran track and excelled in music at FCA.

Congratulations to Ally on her success in the classroom and on the court at Trinity!
