1. Kindergarten – The District is currently considering the implementation of all-day kindergarten.  Please share your thoughts or opinions on this.

2. Communication – The District recently redesigned its websites and launched a Twitter account.  Please share your thoughts or opinions of the District’s communication efforts.

3. Common Core – District staff members are working to implement the state-adopted Common Core State Standards in a way that helps students learn more effectively, in direct correlation with our District vision.  Please share your thoughts or opinions on this.

4. Additional feedback – Please share any additional thoughts or opinions with the Board of Education.

To ensure that all attendees are provided time to share their feedback, meeting attendees should be prepared to limit remarks to approximately 3 minutes and record comments on prepared notes or provided note cards to ensure the Board has an accurate record of all feedback.

Would like to know why the Geneva superintendent, Dr. Mutchler, received a two year interest free car loan in the amount of $4,300 in August 2013. The board hasn't answered this question at the last two board meetings and they won't answer it tonight either. Listen closely tonight because they won't answer any questions from the taxpayers. They want your "input" on little postcards so that they can say, "look at the public forum with had, hardly anyone showed up so everyone must be happy with how we are running things." No, the real reason people don't show up is because they realize you won't listen to their concerns. Taxes and expenditures will continue to increase and you will continue not to answer questions. What will the superintendent get next year, maybe his mortgage payments paid for from our taxes? Why not, we are already giving him $800 a month in undocumented travel expenses within the Kane County Regional District area and the two year interest free car loan! Dr. Mutchler, who makes $203,750 in base salary, should get his own car loan like the rest of us. Our tax levy increases every year and the board spends our tax dollars on a car loan for the superintendent. What is wrong with this picture? Dr. Mutchler do the right thing and pay that loan back by December 15th. Cause this has nothing to do with the kids and everything to do with your greed. I guess a 2.5% salary increase and a $9,000 "performance bonus" in 2013 wasn't good enough for you!

All day kindergarten would be GREAT!

So, am I then to assume, Bob, that no one visits your website, or responds to your endless rants, because you don't listen to the others input? Maybe everything isn't a vast conspiracy, and maybe, because you lack emotional control and rational thought, the board and all of Kane County, is moving beyond you and your few minions. We have grown tired of you and your "Quest"....
Bob McQuillan December 02, 2013 at 01:54 PM
Frank My "Quest" is for the truth. I think the vast majority of Kane County wants the truth. I'm sorry that you don't and prefer to attack the messenger. It is a simple question: Why was the superintendent given a car loan using taxpayer funds? Why can't anyone on the board answer it?
Frank Enweisz December 02, 2013 at 04:29 PM
Bob, the silence is deafening. I wouldn't answer your childishness, either. As a group, they show constraint and maturity. Bring a pen and paper and take notes at the next meeting....

To Bob and everyone trying to get the truth out, THANKS
