Join the Geneva School District Board of Education on Monday, Dec. 2, to share your thoughts on kindergarten, communication, Common Core, and anything else that’s on your mind. The public forum will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Williamsburg Elementary School, 1812 Williamsburg Avenue, with approximately 20 minutes devoted to each of the following topics:
1. Kindergarten – The District is currently considering the implementation of all-day kindergarten. Please share your thoughts or opinions on this.
2. Communication – The District recently redesigned its websites and launched a Twitter account. Please share your thoughts or opinions of the District’s communication efforts.
3. Common Core – District staff members are working to implement the state-adopted Common Core State Standards in a way that helps students learn more effectively, in direct correlation with our District vision. Please share your thoughts or opinions on this.
4. Additional feedback – Please share any additional thoughts or opinions with the Board of Education.
To ensure that all attendees are provided time to share their feedback, meeting attendees should be prepared to limit remarks to approximately 3 minutes and record comments on prepared notes or provided note cards to ensure the Board has an accurate record of all feedback.
