Moms Connected

Moms of teens and tweens are invited to join us at First Baptist Church of Geneva, west campus on February 27 from 9:15-11:15 as Dr. Chris Mazzarella will be presenting Is My Teen Normal?  A Parent’s Guide to Surviving Turbulent Teen Emotions and Behaviors.  Have you ever wondered whether your teen’s emotions and behaviors are “normal” or whether you need to enlist the support of a professional?  It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and wonder how to effectively support our teens. We can convince ourselves that we are the only one having problems parenting in this new territory.  Dr. Chris Mazzerlla will guide us through the jungle that is adolescent behavior in a fun and biblically informed way.  He will give us practical tips from his work with teens and leave us more hopeful and equipped, as well as more connected with other moms on this same journey.  Dr. Mazzerlla is a Clinical Psychologist providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy.  He specializes in adolescent, adult, and couples psychotherapy and has extensive experience treating people with mood and anxiety disorders, trauma, and abuse histories, self-esteem issues, academic struggles, and parenting issues.  Dr. Mazzerlla earned his BA in Psychology from Asbury College, MA in Clinical Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, an MA in Theological  Studies from Wheaton College, and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College.  You may register for this event at fbcg.com/mc or call 630-232-7068, ext 138.  The cost is $6 per person and childcare is available.
