History Center Present 'Geneva Train Wrecks in the 1970's'

The Geneva History Center will present "Geneva Train Wrecks in the 1970's" with guest presenter Mark Llanuza as the September Brown Bag Lunch Series at noon, Tuesday, September 10.

Join Llanuza as he shares rare, personal photographs of train derailments and wrecks in Geneva and the surrounding areas from the 1970s-1990s.  A METRA employee for over 17 years, Llanuza grew-up in the area and became fascinated with the Chicago Northwestern Railroad. He began taking photographs in 1972 at the age of 15 years old which has lead to a vast collection of local railroad images.

Reservations are $5 per person or $3 for GHC Members and can be made online at genevahistorycenter.org or by calling 630-232-4951.  Bring a lunch.  Cookies, water and coffee will be available.  GHC Brown Bag Lunch programs are held atnoon on the second Tuesday of each month from September thru May in the Bencini Room of the Geneva History Center, 113 S. Third Street, Geneva.
