Geneva Women's Club "Little Black Dress Celebration" Set for Feb. 28

GENEVA WOMEN’S CLUB – IT’S NOT YOUR MOTHER’S CLUB ANYMORE

Geneva Women’s Club
celebrates 2014 with a new name and a renewed sense of purpose. While holding
close the organization’s rich past as Mothers Club of Geneva, the new GWC
forges ahead with better defined goals and a narrower focus, concentrating its
volunteer and fundraising efforts on key areas of concern: hunger, health and
wellness, and education.

To kick off this name
change in style, GWC will host a “Little Black Dress Celebration” from 7:30 to
9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28 at the Geneva History Center, 113 S. Third St., Geneva.
Area women are invited to put on their favorite LBDs, grab some
volunteer-minded friends and join the party. Attendees can meet members, learn
about the history of GWC and raise a glass to toast this new journey. The
evening culminates in the presentation of checks to GWC’s core charities.

There is no fee to
attend, but space is limited. If you are interested in helping GWC honor the
past and celebrate the future, RSVP by Feb. 21 to Nikki Spitzer at (630)
492-1188.
