Geneva Church to Show "Visually Breathtaking" Film About Arctic Ice and Climate Change

The award-winning documentary “Chasing Ice” will be shown at 7 p.m. on Fri., April 25 at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva. The church is located at 110 S. 2nd Street in downtown Geneva.

The film condenses years of time-lapse photography to capture the story of rapidly disappearing Arctic ice. Its breathtaking videography presents undeniable evidence of climate change affecting glaciers.

The film is part of the free monthly third-Friday Film programs which are sponsored by the Social Justice Team of the Unitarian Universalist Society of Geneva. “Chasing Ice” is sponsored by the church’s Green Sanctuary Team. The public is encouraged to register at uusg.org/friday-flicks/ to receive email notices of future programs.
