Fox Valley Philharmonic Orchestra Concerto Concert

On April 13th, at 3:00 pm, the Fox Valley
Philharmonic Orchestra, and director Maryann Flock, will present a free concert
featuring a broad spectrum of classical music.
Two solo works highlight the program this spring. The Fox Valley Academy
Concerto Competition Winner, Taylor Anhalt of Oswego will perform Handel’s
ornate Oboe Concerto in G minor, and Carolyn
Wright, Philharmonic principal cellist, will dazzle the audience with Saint-Saens’
Cello Concerto in A minor.

The concert will also feature our Philharmonic Winds in
Charles Gounod’s Petite Symphony. And
as a finale, the full orchestra will captivate the audience with C.P.E. Bach’s brilliant
Symphony in D Major.

The Philharmonic is an integral part of the Fox Valley
Academy of Music Performance. The Academy’s Youth Strings and Orchestra will
also perform classical works at a 1:00 pm concert.
