Dine at Tom & Eddie's Saturday to Help GPD Raise Money for Special Olympics

Geneva Police officers will be taking on a new role this weekend, strapping on aprons to serve burgers and sandwiches for a good cause.

Police officers will be raising money for Special Olympics Illinois by volunteering their time serving meals from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Tom & Eddie’s at the Geneva Commons, 1042 Commons Drive. Officers will be accepting contributions to Special Olympics, and the restaurant will be donating 10 percent of its sales made from noon to 8 p.m. to the organization.

Police will have giveaways to hand out to children, and adults can purchase raffle tickets to win a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, which will be on display at the restaurant. Special Olympics athletes also will participate in the event.
