Dewald family Fundraiser

A benefit for the Dave and Michelle Dewald family will be held at O’ Sole Mio on Friday Oct. 25th from 6-9 pm. Michelle Dewald is a long time 4th grade teacher at Mill Creek School in Geneva, and Michelle’s husband Dave is diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. This leaves the family struggling with financial burdens, healthcare issues, and lack of family support (due to location).  Mrs. Dewald is dealing with the majority of this on her own and caring for her two young children in the process.

A fundraiser has been organized by her friends to help out in the following ways:
  • Charity Dinner at O’Sole Mio in Batavia on Oct. 25 at 6:00-9:00 pm
  • 20% of sales at O’ Sole Mio from Oct. 21 – Oct. 24 going to the Dewald family
  • Raffle with $500 grand prize and 5 – 8 different baskets ($5.00 a piece or 5 for $20.00)
  • Raffle type items – including Bulls tickets, vacation packages, etc.
If you are interested in purchasing raffle and/or dinner tickets, please contact Julie Eiss or Peggy Crawford in the Mill Creek School office. In addition, if you would like to donate gift baskets, raffle type prizes, or simply make a donation to the Mill Creek Social Committee for the Dewald Family, please feel free to contact the Mill Creek School office as well.
