The Geneva Coalition for Youth and TriCity Family Services are once again co-presenting Chick Chat by HGNA (Helping Girls Navigate Adolescence), a self-esteem building workshop for girls in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. The annual program will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Geneva Middle School North.
The workshop is led by trained, professional facilitators, and focuses on age-appropriate issues within a safe and nurturing environment. The curriculum includes exploring self-interests and issues, and building interpersonal skills. The breakout sessions are entitled, “ Be Your Best Self” and “Friends, Frienemies & Fiascos.” The cost of the full-day workshop is $35 and includes a T-shirt, craft, lunch, and healthy snack.
