Chester Gould, Dick Tracy & Me Oct. 11

The Geneva History Center presents "Chester Gould, Dick Tracy & Me" with guest presenter, Tracy O'Connell, at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 11.

Join Tracy O'Connell as he chronicles the life and career of his grandfather, Chester Gould, creator of the Dick Tracy comic strip. O'Connell will share photos and stories about Gould, as well as offer insight into Gould's writing and drawing techniques. In addition, he will discuss the impact of this unique crime fighting comic strip on the community at large, including the creation of the nationwide "Crime Stoppers" program.  

Registration is limited at $10 per person, $5 per GHC Member/students atwww.genevahistorycenter.org or call 630-232-4951.  This program takes place at the Geneva History Center, 113 S. Third Street, and includes admission to the GHC exhibition, "Start With A Sketch" highlighting cartoonists, illustrators and voice characters in the community, now open thruNovember 9.
