CASTING CALL: "It's a Wonderful Life: A live radio play"

Actors ages 16 and older are invited to audition for a part in Playhouse 38's all new peformance of Frank Capra's holiday favorite, It's a Wonderful Life: A live radio play. The 1940s classic radio broadcast features 5 actors voicing dozens of characters before a live studio audience. True the cinematic masterpiece, everyman George Bailey learns that "no man is a failure who has friends," with the help of a little divine intervention.

Auditions are set for Thursday, November 7 from 6:00-8:30 pm and Tuesday, November 12 from 6:30-9:00 pm. Call (630) 232-4542 to reserve an audition slot.

Registration must be filled out with payment information at the time of audition. Payment will only be processed once cast.

Rehearsals will be held Sunday, November 17; Wednesday, November 20; Thursday, November 21; Wednesday, December 4; and Thursday, December 5 from 6:30-8:30 pm. Tech week will be held Monday-Thursday, December 9-12 from 6:30-8:30 pm. Participants must be available for tech week and all shows.

Evening performances are set for Fridays, December 13 and 20; and Saturdays, December 14 and 21 at 7:00 pm. Matinee performances are set for Saturdays, December 14 and 21 at 2:00 pm.

Playhouse 38 is a facility of Geneva Park District dedicated to providing toddlers, youth, teens and adults the opportunity to grow with cultural arts both onstage and behind the scenes.
